Mahroof was teamed up with the Rotherham Red Runners Team of Denis Machsane MP, Rose McNeely and Jahanghir Akhtar. Mahroof has raised £650 for his Mile. The money will help people living incredibly tough lives both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries
Mahroof said "Sainsbury Sport Relief Mile is a fantastic and fun way to raise money for the poor and needy across the world and in the U
K. Every step I took during the mile reminded me of the fact that although some of us have a good standard of life there are many many more who do not and we must do our upmost to rectify this. I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me to raise the fantastic total of £650”.
Mahroof also went to Kashmir within 7 days of the Eartquake hitting there where 80,000 people were killed. He took much needed clothing, tents, food an money to help families who suffered so badly.
The Sainsbury Sports Mile has been bigger and better than ever before, with 16 fantastic Flagship Miles and hundreds of other Mile events taking place across the UK on Sunday 21st March.
And the really great bit is that all the money raised by getting sponsored will make the world of difference to people living really tough lives both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
