Rotherham Councillor shows support to Rotherham Hospital Charity

Councillor Mahroof Hussain recently accompanied Waseem Ghafoor of PAK Supermarket Wellgate, Rotherham, to the Children’s Ward at Rotherham Hospital.

PAK’s very kindly donated two Nintendo Wiis and a selection of games to Rotherham Hospital Charity’s Dr Ted Children’s Appeal.

The Dr Ted Children’s Appeal aims to raise funds to further improve the experience of children and families at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust by providing fun and learning accessories, as well as making sure children have the best possible equipment and facilities. Waseem Ghafoor commented: “It is great to put a smile on the childrens’ faces and it’s been a privilege to contribute in this way.”

Cllr Hussain has expressed his wish to continue to support the Dr Ted Children’s appeal and commented: “It is fantastic to support the Trust’s Dr Ted Children’s Appeal by working with local businesses, such as PAK. “I’m sure that children and families on the Children’s Ward at Rotherham Hospital will have pleasure in using these gifts during what are often difficult times when a child is in hospital. I hope that the Wiis bring a smile to some of the children.”

Rotherham Hospital Charity raises money in many different ways and enables local people to organise events to raise money in aid of the charity. The money is then used by departments throughout the Trust to purchase additional items which help?to enhance a patient’s stay or treatment.
